Established in 1971, Smimac has proudly serviced Alice Springs, remote communities and the wider Central Australian region for over 55 years. In April 2020, the business was acquired by TAH Wholesale Pty Ltd, a proudly Indigenous-owned company committed to continuing the high level of service, reliability and quality products that customers across Central Australia have come to expect.

Smimac Foodservices plays an important role in supplying both local businesses and remote communities throughout the region. We proudly service hotels, restaurants, takeaways, supermarkets, schools, aged care facilities, remote community stores, service stations and caterers, ensuring reliable delivery across Central Australia’s unique and challenging environments.

We stock an extensive range of products including frozen and perishable foods, dry goods, ice creams, fresh milk, soft drinks, bottled water, juices, packaging and paper products, along with many other essential foodservice lines.

Smimac currently employs 14 local staff across administration, warehouse operations and our refrigerated distribution team. We are proud to be a diverse employer that supports local employment opportunities and values inclusiveness within our workforce.
